Back when I was a military (Navy) wife, I was informed of the Theory of Happiness. The Theory of happiness is that happiness can neither be created or destroyed, it can only be transferred. The example I was given was if I gave my husband a candy bar, which would've made him super happy, and he was about to enjoy the candy bar but got called to work or inspect something on the boat he was working on. So he sadly places his candy bar on the table and goes to perform his task. The Chief of the boat walks by and sees the candy bar and proceeds to enjoy it. Therefore the happiness got transferred to him. This is the theory of happiness according to the Navy. I would argue and refute this theory to no end and they were insistent about proving that you cannot create or destroy happiness, that it merely gets transferred. They said it was a basic law of physics.
Happiness is our essential nature, our birthright. Happiness can exist for no reason; there are no conditions required for it to exist, we can find it deep within ourselves. We as a society need to relax, loosen up and enjoy life. Humor helps you connect with audiences, boost awareness, sell new products, and improve customer service. Humor is one of the best ways to get people’s attention and to get potential customers talking about your product or service. Laughter is one of the easiest ways to free you from the mind's constant thought process and find inner peace. It will make you more alive, healthier, more creative, and more silent. You will discover in yourself a tremendous natural talent for rejoicing in life. Happiness and laughter are required for a fulfilled life. So tell me, can you create your own happiness? Can you take away another persons happiness, or is that a part of thier own free will? Is happiness merely a transfer of energy from one entity to another? How then does a comedian cause multiple entities to experience happiness? Is it portioned out and divided or does it mysteriously metasticise?
What are your theories on happiness?
